Plum wild cherries & kiwi luscious body lotion- Review

For today’s episode, I have a review on Plum wild cherries &kiwi luscious body lotion.

When I first discovered Plum, one day while looking for a new body lotion, I checked few online reviews about it first. What I found was that, all the products from Plum were chemical free and multiple other good things about them. Also, I have heard many good things about Plum kajal. So, I kind of trusted the brand and decided to give it a try.

Before I dive into the complete review, let’s talk about what the brand claims about the lotion, the ingredients, quantity, price etc.

INGREDIENTS: Aqua(water), Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter,Ceatearyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Prunus Cerasus (Wil Cherry) Fruit water, Actindia Chineses(kiwi) seed oil, Triethanolamine, Fragrance, FDA approved colors.

 

 

Review:

I have been using this body lotion for a year now. So, I am here to share the real life experience with this body lotion.

Let’s talk about it’s scent first. It has a very mild scent of wild cherries and kiwi  (no it don’t smell like a kiwi fruit).  As per my opinion, I am not really the fan of the smell of this lotion. To put in simple words, neither does it smell bad nor very great. It has light cherry kind of fragrance but that smells little artificial to me. (It’s really hard to explain scent in words)

So to make it easier to under stand let me mark it on the scale of 10. On the scale of a 10, I would give it 5-6 when it comes to the scent of the lotion.

 

 

While the scent could not really impress me, the product inside the bottle is amazing. Your skin will feel soft once you apply it. It is not sticky at all. It feels amazing on your skin. You will definitely feel moisturized after applying this. Try it immediately after the shower, the feeling is amazing. (To see the product in real,  please Click )

On my skin, I have really enjoyed it a lot. The consistency of the lotion is thick as you slather it over your hands. But, once you are done massaging it, you will feel moisturized. And when I say moisturized, I mean that feeling of dryness is gone.

How long does effect of lotion last?  Plum, itself says to re apply it again after 8hours approximately, to keep the moisture sealed in.

Well, I will say that depends on person to person. I am saying so because for me (super dry skin) I need to re apply it like after 5 hours or so but, my friend who has oily-normal skin do not feel to re apply it at all.

I sometime, use oil on my body first and then apply body lotion over it. This way, I keep myself free of dryness all day long.  I don’t know if other people also do this or it’s just me. But, I can’t help it because , body lotions alone do not provide me the level of hydration I need. But, comparing it with other body lotions, it is better and I will not whine about dryness at all.

Is it free of parabens?

Yes. It do not contain any harmful ingredients like parabens, phthalates, propylene lycol, SLS, DEA and PABA (at least the brand claims so. I do not have any method to cross check the ingredients though 😛 )

Is it sticky? Not at all. It gets absorbed into your skin so quickly and nicely that, you will feel moisturized the whole day. People with very dry skin like me, might need to re apply it after few hours.

Would I recommend it to my family and friends?

Yes, I will recommend it to my friends if their only motive is to achieve soft skin but not for the scent of it. People whole love lotions with beautiful fragrances might not like it that much. To confirm this, I asked one of my friend, just to cross check about how she thinks about the scent of the lotion, and her answer was “I like it. It is nice. I don’t understand why you don’t like it”. So, again it depends on person to person.

Anyway, at the end of the day it is a good body lotion without any doubt.- Overall
